I figured you meant you got nothing from the world cup,as I saw nothing here Ha! ,I wanted to first of all thank you for the catch on my post. After reading your blog I see your intellect and realize that we have a lot more in common than you may think..I question everything! My intellect has been my biggest gift and enemy ,as I have learned to step out of my own way…I used to yearn to be the seven eleven worker..thinking of nothing but slurpies..yet I apparently was never meant to do that…
The post about your uncle hit home the most,as my sister-in law,age 56 died in her sleep apparently do to alcohol and drugs, very similar in the “disease” process. We all just looked at each other and said “No Surprise’,and were glad she took no one else out in the process.
Because of me questioning everything.Echart Tolle and I have the reputation of being over the top, and yet when we “find out” we reflect all our illusions onto our world,our world changes…Thanks for the opportunity to blab…Robyn …..Off to blog another question about our illusions…as curiosity takes me over

I can relate a lot to the sentiments that you express in these sentences. The term intellect is somewhat nebulous. When I was in my early to mid twenties my head ran at a million miles an hour and sometimes it could be creative. Today I am nearly forty and I know now, that more than intellect what I have is a mental illness, to pretend otherwise is irresponsible and dangerous. This illness is not all bad, it enables me to look at the world in a way others find different, not necessarily right.
“yet I apparently was never meant to do that” What do you mean by this? I have come to realize that you are meant to do whatever you decide to do. It is up to you, your life is your responsibility. It’s no use waiting for some supernatural intervention to help you out and provide for you. Our lives are what we decide to make them, we have to take responsibility and make something of ourselves, because no one, no god, no spirit guides the way for us. It’s all down to you, there are no excuses, no one else to blame.

What do you think? I agree 100 percent! I was using 7 eleven as a metaphor to the silliness of what some of the world seems to think…that if I “ONLY” had this or could find “THIS”…I am now 58 and I live my life in the moment…no longer living from the past or the future..(which may attest to neurosis and psychosis in our world)..where trying to have some one”God” or another person be the source of good bad or whatever… Accountability lies inside me..as my outer world reflects my inner world…as I just wrote about yesterday all else is an illusion. I had a near death experience as a child of 4 and have never had much fear of anything,including death,as I think many can be immobilized by the thought…I read a book called Disappearance of the Universe, many years ago, by Gary Renard and I could relate to the illusions we live by in this world (me included)..whenever I have a thought that is counter to “my creation” I can be at war with myself.
As far as your thoughts running a mile a minute,This becomes the hardest to label, for me, as taking on the insanity of the world has become a billion dollar business, where world leaders who could be placed in the insanity box are running country’s…As you said, probably more dangerous to oneself and others than intellect. This quote from Echart Tolle sums it up for me..”The only time you suffer is when you believe a thought that argues with reality” “You are the cause of your own suffering”-but only all of it. “There is no suffering in this world only an uninvestigated story that leads you to believe it”
